Under medical supervision, Physicians’ Elemental Diet is designed to maintain sustenance as the sole source of nutrition for up to four weeks, though typical, clinical use is two to three weeks.

No. However, elemental diets are medical foods and it is recommended that you work closely with your healthcare professional while using this product, and anytime you make changes to your diet.

Each Physicians’ Elemental Diet package contains approximately three days’ worth of meals (based on an 1,800-calorie diet) but will depend on your unique caloric requirements, as determined by your healthcare practitioner.

No. Physicians’ Elemental Diet is designed to be mixed with water. For variety, we recommend blending the powder with ice for a change in texture or adding more water to change the taste slightly if you prefer. 

No. Physicians’ Elemental Diet is not intended for use as a weight loss product. 

No. Developmental needs for calories, micronutrients and macronutrients vary. Physicians’ Elemental Diet is not for use as sole source of nutrition for anyone under 18 years of age unless advised by a healthcare practitioner.

Physicians’ Elemental Diet has a well-tolerated flavor that many users compare to vanilla or cake.  

The Vitamin D3 is sourced from sunflower seed.

Physicians’ Elemental Diet is not designed for nor tested in enteral tube feeding settings.

We recommend that you consult with your healthcare practitioner before making any changes to your use of prescription drugs and supplements. Dietary supplements are typically not used during a full elemental diet. However, they may be useful before starting on an elemental diet and/or once back on regular foods.

Please allow 1-2 days for order processing. If you choose free ground shipping, you should receive your order within 2-6 days. Need it sooner? We also offer next day air for a delivery charge. Please note, orders placed after 2:00 CST pm will be processed the next day and all timelines exclude weekends and holidays. 

You will receive a program kit featuring the product, a convenient, travel-friendly blender bottle for taking your elemental diet on the go, and a complete resource guide with all orders. You will also receive the product needed for the 14 or 21 day program.
